Maid to Butler Terms & Conditions

Our Guarantee

If you are not completely happy with our service, then please tell us within 48 hours in order that we may remedy the situation. We guarantee the quality of our services.

Customer Care

We want to keep in regular contact with you in order to ensure that you get the best possible service from Maid to Butler.
Unless agreed otherwise, all products used belong to the client so the client knows what products are being used and are familiar to their home.

Maid to Butler staff

All our staff are fully trained in their duties.
They are professional, reliable and friendly people who have been hand-picked to meet the standards of Maid to Butler.
All staff are fully vetted and insured.
Our training and working practices are designed to ensure that we comply with all applicable health and safety regulations.
All staff have a distinct and suitable uniform and travel in cars which are clearly marked Maid to Butler.
All our staff appreciate you are allowing them into your home and will treat it with the highest respect and care.

Security

All Staff are fully vetted, insured and supervised. All parent helpers will have a CRB.
Uniformed staff and Maid to Butler identified cars give you peace of mind.
All our staff are trained in safe key-holding. We will never have your keys with the address held in one place.
All staff are insured so you can be reassured that you are protected against loss/and or breakage that may occur when we clean your home. We have Employees liability insurance and public liability insurance for up to £1,000,000
When the exchange of shopping money takes place between client and staff the following procedure applies:
Both parties must sign to say the amount is correct.
On return both parties must sign to say that all receipts are correct and all monies are correct.

Maid to Butler Packages

All clients are asked to sign a Maid to Butler service agreement. The charge agreed with the client is for an agreed amount of hours.
The same Maid to Butler employee will come to your home each week (subject to availability).
You have the opportunity to interview your Maid to Butler staff before they start, ensuring that you are comfortable with our selection from the outset.
We will ensure that we will provide a suitable Maid to Butler employee in times of holidays or sickness.
Our minimum service period is a block time of ‘3 hours’ at any given time (exception of handyman and gardener which is based on an hourly basis).
Cleaning materials and equipment needed for the required job will be provided by Maid to Butler, unless you would prefer us to use your materials.
All equipment should be safe and in full working order.
Maid Package - We will arrive on the agreed date but cannot specify a time (unless requested by the client due to circumstance such as sleeping due to night shift). We are able to work between the hours of 8.30am and 5.00pm.
Maid Package - Bookings are made ‘by the hour’ so every attempted will be made by the maid to complete the set work in the given time but this may not always be possible.
Any chores which take staff outside of a 10 mile radius of the client‘s home will incur an additional charge of 50p per mile.
Gardeners and Handymen will use their own equipment. A staff member will come to meet with you and have a look at the work needed so we are able to give you an accurate quotation for the work.

Your Obligations

To provide a safe environment for Maid to Butler staff.
To pay promptly for all hours provided in line with the Maid to Butler payment agreement.
The client may not employ Maid to Butler staff directly.
We can devote more time to caring for your home if you spend a few moments tidying before we arrive at your home.
The Maid to Butler staff must be able to access your home as agreed. If you do not wish us to hold your house key then please arrange for someone to allow access to your home. We will unfortunately have to charge the agreed amount even if we are unable to access your home at the agreed time.
In the unlikely event that the Maid to Butler staff do not arrive at your home at the agreed time please can you call Maid to Butler ASAP so we can resolve this.

Special Circumstances

If you require additional services or hours please contact us as soon as possible and we will do everything we can to meet your needs.
If your scheduled day falls on a public holiday, then this will be cancelled and we will contact you well in advance to arrange a convenient alternative date for you.
We will treat your home with the greatest of care. Please inform us of any items that are irreplaceable, so that we can make special arrangements for care.

Cancellations

Please contact us via the telephone, giving us 3 days working notice if unexpected issues arise or you are on holiday.
Please can you give 2 weeks notice if you no longer require maid to butler services.
If any purchases have been bought on behalf of the client and the client cancels the agreed work then 48 hours notice must be given or the client will incur the charge of the purchases and will receive their purchases.

Payments

Payment arrangements will be agreed within the Maid to Butler service agreement.
Payments can be made by cash, cheque, standing order or BACS.
All payments are to be paid monthly for the work done up to that date.
All payments must be paid by the 15th of every month.
